Metal working rolls, paper industry rolls or textile rolls: high hardness roll applications like these demand elastomers that combine high modulus and good dynamic properties with low compound viscosity. Therban®, LANXESS' hydrogenated
acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber (HNBR), is especially suited to meet those needs. For example, compounds with good processability can be made which result in a hardness up to 70 Shore D. Furthermore, Therban® offers high abrasion resistance, meaning that parts made from it retain their function over a long period of time - an important feature for roll coverings.
